We are so very proud of Cameron and Ashely, two of our Guest Service Managers, for recently receiving their Hospitality Management Certificate through Cornell University online eCornell program.

CAMDEN, ME, April 29th, 2020 – Press Release – Bay View Collection, a small group of distinctive, luxury boutique hotels in Camden, Maine whose properties include the Lord Camden Inn, Grand Harbor Inn, and 16 Bay View, is proud to announce that Ashley Watts and Cameron Butler, both Guest Services Managers, have earned their Hospitality Management Certificate from Cornell University through their e-Cornell Program sponsored by the New England Inns & Resorts Association

Ashley has worked for the Bay View Collection for over 4 years and has been a Guest Services Manager since spring of 2017. Born and raised in Maine, Ashley is a proud mother of three young children and is able to balance a full-time career in hospitality while helping raise a young family along with her husband. A supermom, we like to call her, and her caring for our guests is exemplified because of this!

Cameron is also a native Mainer, born and raised in the mid-coast, and has worked for the Bay View Collection for almost 5 years. Cameron was promoted to Guest Services Manager the same time Ashley was in spring of 2017. Cameron loves the great outdoors, animals and most sports. He is also a motorhead, having a passion for sports cars and motorcycles. Cameron’s details oriented viewpoint allows for a no-stone-left-unturned approach to the guest experience.

Ashley and Cameron recently completed their 3-month, 6-course program and received their certificate in Hospitality Management through e-Cornell, Cornell University’s online certificate program. This program covers a wide range of content, from building a loyal guest base to finances to team building, giving you a set of skills needed to be successful in a hospitality management role.

“We are very proud of Cameron and Ashley’s hospitality pursuits and ambitions. They have both been a great asset to our organization and have developed great trust and respect among their fellow co-workers. They both have a great passion for the art of hospitality and providing our guests outstanding service and experiences. We are very lucky to have Ashley and Cameron and will continue to support their educational pursuits”, says Matthew Levin, Director of Hotels for the Bay View Collection.

Erick Anderson, General Manager of the Collection, added “We are excited with the educational achievement of Cameron and Ashley. They have always been such great role models for many of our staff to look up to and this additional arrow in their quiver will certainly add to their strengths and capabilities moving forward. It has been a real treat watching them both continue to grow within our company and take their roles to even further heights.”

We were very happy to accommodate them at Lord Camden Inn, Grand Harbor Inn, and 16 Bay View the past several days. Through rain and hail, snow and wind, hurricanes and tornados, our linemen are there. Have you thanked a lineman today? ... See MoreSee Less
