Born in Austin, Texas, and raised kind-of-all-over-the-place, Maggie hopes to settle down for good in Midcoast Maine. She began working in the restaurant industry fifteen years ago, most recently managing the front of house and creating the cocktail and beverage menu at Rapid Creek Cidery in Iowa City. There she was able to hone her cocktail-creating skills and work with a multi-time James Beard semifinalist-nominated chef to create a unique dining experience in a large repurposed barn on an apple orchard. She and her husband have a six year-old-daughter, Madeleine, and, together, own Goldfinch Ceramics, a small, high-fired pottery business. When not at work, Maggie cooks voraciously, reads, makes art, and spends time with her daughter, cats, and Great Pyrenees. She has a bachelor’s in Art History from Cornell College.
